A 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of Cutchogue and New Suffolk, LI. It maintains the Cutchogue Village Green and Old Burying Ground as a living memorial to the original founders and all residents of Cutchogue and New Suffolk.
Our board members and volunteers are indispensable, and we’re incredibly grateful to them. But our volunteer base is dwindling and we are becoming concerned there are not enough to support the organization. Although they love local history and our site, it’s the personal connections keep you energized and engaged. Our volunteers enjoy meeting new people and making new friends We cultivate social connections by having a potluck in the summer and a volunteer appreciation dinner at a local restaurant in the winter, as well as the interactions that occurs on our site and at our events.
To help ensure the continuation of the organization, please consider becoming a volunteer. the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Historical Council is holding our yearly workshop for volunteers. This is the perfect time for new volunteers to come and get acquainted with our regular volunteers and talk about our plans for 2025.
